OPD (Out Patient Department)

Our OPD works on every weekday from 9 PM to 6 PM. From the time patient walked in to the HUB hospital, he/she is provided with the best guidance and service until he/she walks out of the hospital. Once registered (valid for 1 month) in the reception the patients are worked up by qualified Optometrists, Vision Technicians and other qualified eye care personnel before being taken to Ophthalmologists consultation.

All patients are screened for refractive errors, cataract and glaucoma, along with a through general medical check-up. At completion of necessary examinations in the diagnostic section, patient is taken to the consulting room of Ophthalmologist, who may order further tests like fundus imaging to arrive at the correct diagnosis. Below mentioned facilities are available in OPD:

  • Tonometer
  • Retinoscopy
  • Direct- and indirect ophthalmoscopy
  • Slitlamp
  • Fundus Camera
  • Applanation tonometry
  • Depending on the findings during examination patients may be sent for minor procedures, or referred for subspecialty consultations to the respective clinics.
